0 Introduction

Antifragile is a concept Invented by Nassim Taleb.

An Anti-fragile Ecology jumps to another Level called a Revolt in Panarchy.

This happens when the Differences are Fused under Pressure.

Antifragility goes beyond Resilience.

The resilient resists Shocks and stays the Same.

The antifragile gets Better. (where Better is a variable dependent on the Point of View of the Observer. on the Context.

Context

There are Four(+1) Independent (Orthogonal) Views on a Point of View.

You can find them in the Classical Elements.

Classical Elements

The four Classical Elements: Air, Earth, Fire and Water

Kübler-Ross Transition Curve

The Kubler Ross Model describes the reaction of a person to a Calamity.

In the four stages you see the symbols of the Classical Elements.

They come back in every Cycle on every level from the cycle of the Photon to the cycle of the Universe.

Spring and Elasticity

A Resilient system looks like a Spring connected to a weight.

The spring has a certain Elasticity and will break when it is used too often.

The four Points of View of Paths of Change projected on the Seasons with the fifth seasons, Indian Summer“, in the center.

A Resilient System always returns to its Set Point with a predictable path described by stages that contain the four Points-of-View of Poc called the Kubler Ross Transition Curve.

The curve is really a Cycle described by Path of Change.

The Set Point lies in the Center and represents the Earth going through the Five stages, where the fifth stage is called Indian Summer.

The Emergence of of the I/D-cycle

Humans are Conscious Self Reproducing Fusing Ecologies that are composed of 1-cellular Organisms and are part of bigger social Ecologies we call a City or a Country.

The one-cellular organisms get their energy out of the Vacuum that contains clusters of the many specializations of Light (Quarks) made out of Matter and anti-Matter.

Fuse and Specialize

The ecologies take part in the Sequence of Origins also called the I/D Cycle (Integration, Diversification) that shows the same Pattern of Fusing and Specializing or Compression and Expansion from the Beginning of the Universe.

In Every new step the many Combinations of a previous Infrastructure fuse into a new Infrastructure with a Boundary with a new Name.

Combo-Genesis, a Blend of Genesis and Combinations by Tyler Volk.

The “Fusions” are Social Structures projected on our Outside by the inside Imagination on Reality.

Constraints and Potential

The new system that appears after every step is Constraint driven and is created out of the Potential that is builded up by abundant Resources in the old level.

Mind and Emotions

Constraints (Rules) are from the Mind,

The Action-Potential is from the Emotions.

In the video below Len Troncale explains this proces he calls Emergence meaning “The process of becoming visible after being concealed” or “Discovering something we did not See before”.

General Systems Theory

Part 1 : Geometry and Semantics of the Trinity

The first part of this blog contains a Geometric and Semantic Theory based on the Trinity.

Creating a Universe with only a Triangle

I show what you can make with a Semantic Trinity or a Geometric Triangle.

If you want to move to this Part push here.

Triangle of Pascal -> Hierchy of Trinities starting with the One at the Top

This is a picture of Pascal’s Triangle called Mount Meru in ancient India or the YangHui in China

.

The Triangle of Pascal described by a Yin Yang Pattern. Later you will see that Yin and Yang come back in Interpersonal Psychology as Agency and Communion.

The Triangle represents the coefficients of the Binominal Expansion (X+Y)**N and therefore every row N (0,1,..)has a sum of 2**N..

The diagonal contains many “Mystical” numbers.

Part 2 : Changing a Context with an Idea.

In part 2 I apply the theory of Change in Chapter 1 on a Context.

The only thing you have to do is start the Cycle at the right point (in general with an Idea).

I use the cycle of the Seasons as an example.

Ideas belong to the Spring.

This cycle does not stop because the motions of the planets don’t stop.

Push here to go to the Practice.

Part 3: Examples

Later in the second part I will use Examples.

This part of the blog until Part 1 repeats old blogs.

Want to start with Part 1 push here.

Part 4: Conclusion

Mikhael Bahktin was Locked up by Stalin in the Gulach

He believed that Structuring (Coding, Programming) Kills the Context.

He experienced a Totalitarian Communist System and Survived.

The only thing we can do when we face a dictator is to Take our Historic Responsibility, Act in the Open.

and Drop our Mask and show you are Unique and therefore

There is no Alibi for Being.

We have to Join the Worldwide Carnival of Fools and start to write a new Myth for Mankind.

According to Bahktin we are ending the big Cycle of time and are starting the creation of new Myths.

The Zero (“Good-for-Nothing“) , the Fool is the first card of the TAROT.

In the Cycle of Bahktin history is described by Chronotopes, Stories related with a space-time, a Place in History.

The End of Duality

A new start of the Grand Cycle of Precession (P=25.000 years) is associated with Aquarius, the bearer of the Water of Life.

Aquarius ends the Age of the Fish, the time of Good and Bad and Duality.

The Renaissance of Alchemy

Judging will be taken over by Creating.

We have to learn to create our own Reality.

It will be a revival of Alchemy.

The “Avatar” sequel arrives 13 years after the original, and now Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully, at right, is the father of a brood.

Panarchy

Revolt (Experiment and Test) ,->

Remember (Stabilize, Conserve, Accumulate Memory).

Panarchy is a theory about an Ecology

the Model of Panarchy contains three nested Cycles with the shape of the Moebius Ring.

Two significant connections are labeled ‘Revolt’ and ‘Remember’. The smaller, faster, nested levels invent, experiment and test, while the larger, slower levels stabilize and conserve accumulated memory of system dynamics

Bio-Field Shapes the Body not the DNA.

In a recent blog I showed how billions of 1-Cellular Organisms work together to support the Human Ecology we call a Body.

They cooperate by sharing their Bioelectric field (Biofield).

Constraint -> E/M-field

Every cell is a neuron and a small Battery that produces its own E/M-field.

The E/M-field generates the Shape of the Organism.

Potential->Zeropoint Field

The energy of the organism comes out of the Zero-point field.

DNA only determinates the Hardware of the cell.

The Cooperative field contains the Software.

The Language of the Universe was recently discovered by Peter Rowlands.

Biochemistry will be succeeded by Biocomputing.

“All known cognitive agents are collective intelligences, because we are all made of parts;
biological agents in particular are not just structurally modular, but made of parts that are themselves agents in important ways.
There is no Truly Monadic, Indivisible yet Cognitive Being“.

Antifragility:

I start with a long citation of Nassim Taleb about Anti-fragility:

“We have the illusion that the world functions thanks to programmed design, university research, and bureaucratic funding, but there is compelling — very compelling — evidence to show that this is an illusion.

Technology is the result of antifragility, exploited by risk-takers in the form of tinkering and trial and error.

Engineers and tinkerers develop things while history books are written by academics;

we will have to refine historical interpretations of growth, innovation, and many such things.

The error of naive rationalism leads to overestimating the role and necessity of … academic knowledge, in human affairs — and degrading the uncodifiable, more complex, intuitive, or experience-based type”.

The citation of Nassim Taleb is illustrated by Four pictures out of my blog about Anti-fragility.and Structure preserving Mappings.

The four Archetypes of Carl Jung, indentified by their Colors are connected by a Path of Change (PoC) of Will McWhinney where the links are taken out of Interpersonal Theory and Panarchy of Crawford Stanley  Buzz Holling, Panarchy describes an Ecology. Poc is linked to the Human Relation Model Alan Fiske, the Scales of Measurement Theory and Geometry.

there are two types of networks being homogeneous (the same) and heterogeneous (different).

The first one has a Bell Curve and the second one a Power Law as a probability distribution.

The first one contains objects that belong to a group that is part of the group that is above the mean while yhe other is below the mean.

The first group feels itself High and the other Low.

Low and different is in the mood to Revolt.

The last possibility, Altered Composition and Different Performance is called Anti-fragility.

Revolt: Leave the Cycle and Jump

The I/D-cycle shows that you sometimes have to Revolt and Leave the Cycle and Jump to a higher level to a cycle with another Rhythm.

This rhythm is the rythm of the Clock (Heart) in the Center.

Panarchy: The Patterns of an Ecology

Behind the picture above you can see the model of Panarchy created by a group of scientist coordinated by Buzz Holling.

Mobius Ring

It also shows a Geometry you have to remember called the  Möbius Ring.

Part 1: Theory

Geometry

Triangels are the Building blocks of Geometry

Trinity->Triangel

“The Tao produced One; One produced Two; Two produced Three; Three produced All things.”

The Three Pure Ones

The Trinity is the smallest Number with a Middle.

Balancing Trinities

The Trinity can be balanced by linking trinities to the trinities.

The trinity is the most Efficient Number (“Balanced Ternary“) and Storage System (“Balanced Trees“)

Platonic Solids are made of Triangles

The Platonic Solids are all the possible forms you can make with a Triangle.

You can Generate the Platonic Solids and a very simple Computer out of the Trinity.

Semantics

Quick Introduction of Concepts

the Act of Creation is a Fusion of Seperate Concepts

Accordng to Arthur Koestler (1964): a new Theory is a Fusion of two previously separate Frames of Reference (“Bisociation”).

Later (2002) Gilles Fauconnier & Mark Turner inspired by George Lakoff ( (Metaphors We Live By (1980), Philosophy in the Flesh(1999)). called the Semantic Fusion of Concepts, a Conceptual Blend

Fusion From 2->1 1+2=3:

To save time and memory (the Human Scale) we compress Action Scenario’s into a single Concept that can be fused with another Concept to compress long Chains of actions into one word that Unwraps if needed.

Physics

The Fusion of Opposites is the Empty Set also called the Void, the Singularity or a Point.

Fusion <-> Splitting

It is not always possible to reverse a fusion of opposites unless the reverse is part of the fusion like it happens with Light and Matter.

In this case matter and anti-matter fuses into light and light splits into matter and anti-matter.

The two processes are symmetric and are related by a constraint that +1 – 1 = 0, a (Nilpotent) constraint that can be found behind every theory in Physics.

The Universe is a Machine

Peter Rowlands was able to Rewrite the fubdamental theory of Physics into a Turing Macine with a zero-constraint.

Each stage or ‘alphabet’ in the rewrite system is a totality, completely incorporating and extending the previous totality.

Octionions, Spirals in 3d Space

His rewrite system is based on the Octionions an extension of the Quaternions, an extension of the Imaginary numers being Spirals in 3D-space.

The Middle: Zero-Point

In the middle between positive and negative is the Zero, the Vacuum, the bridge between the two mirror-universes we live in. One during the Day (Sun) and one During theNight (Moon).

Projection

Two projections of the same object.

Observers (Points)

What do the two Fused Projections of two Observers have in Common?

Cross Ratio:

They share a Ratio between A,B,C,D called the Cross Ratio.

Lines

When two distinct points (dots) are connected they form a line.

a Quaternio: is a Fourfold Cycle

Paths of Change of Will Mcwhinney is a Fourfold Cycle , a Quaternio.

The Quaernio is an Invention of Carl Jung.

Alchemy

The four Elements of Leibniz

Leibniz fused Logic and Alchemy by Rotating the Same Fourfold Structure out of the Logic of Aristotle for 45 degrees.

Jung found the Quaternio when he researched Alchemy and the Gnostics.

Intuition

The gnostics believed in Knowing we call Intuition.

Psychology, Psychiatry, Culture

Carl Jung just like Joseph Campbell with the Hero’sQuest and Mikhael Bahktin with the Chronotope, tried to find the Pattern behind the pattern.

The Fourfold Mobius pattern projected on a City.

The Fourfold Mobius pattern projected on an Ecology is called Panarchy.

A Mobius pattern has no center.

To make this possible the cycle moves in an Extra dimension.

Structure Preserving Mapping

The anthropologist Alan Fiske Discovered that his model of Human Relations was compatible with the Scales of Measurement theory.

Scales

Humans Measure their Relations with Scales.

Measurement

The model of Fiske is compatible with Paths of Change that came out of the research of Carl Jung in Alchemy he called a Quaternio.

Points of View

A Map is not the Territory (Korzibski  : General Semantics)

The higher you Climb the Scale the more Details you loose.

Zoom in <-> Zoom out

You have to Zoom in and Zoom out in the Context from the perfect Point of View when you make a Design.

A Category is a deliberately Killed Context

Will McWhinney called the measurements World Views.

Yin and Yang

The world views can be classified by Agency and Communion that are the same as Yin and Yang.

Structure Preserving Mapping

The mathematician Eric Benoit  proved that the Scales are Structure Preserving Mappings.

Hierarchy (Blue)

Autocratic hierarchies are top-down or bottom up but there is always something or somebody (an Agent) at the Top

Social Network )Green)

Social structures like Families are Networks where the Points (Members) are linked by lines.

Individual (Yellow)

Are not connected and not an agent, they are Al-One.

Cause and Effect (Red)

The points that are “acting, Agents) are connected by directed arrows.

The four Geometries of Paths of Change
  1. Projective Geometry Connect Points of View to find the Context.
  2. Find the differences
  3. Fuse the Diffrences
  4. Order them and produce a Ranking
  5. Transform the ranks in States.

When we Fuse Differences we move from Similarity Geometry to Affine Geometry.

In case of the corresponding Scales we move from the Interval scale to the Ordinal Scale or in tems of relationships from Equality Matching to Authority Ranking.

The Hierarchy of Scales

MP looks like Capitalism

CS looks like Socialism

EM looks like Liberalism

AR looks like Communism

Autority ranking and the Ordinal scale share the Geometry of a Hierarchy where the most important Ranking is at the Top.

Hierarchy One (Idea)->Many:

A hierarchy connects the One to the Many

To make a Ranking you need to define what > or < really means.

>=Expanding and <= is Compressing.

Mirror Universe

When you keep on compressing you reach the singularity and the Planck Scale, a tiny black hole (Point, Bindu) that connect to a tiny white hole that connects with our Mirror universe.

Trees are Expanding Flow Sytems

Inhibition

In Nature every Living system contains an Expanding and a not-expanding, Inhibiting, proces that prevents expanding to Infinity.

Limited Resources

Processes are limited by the Resources they use.

Structure Preserving Maps

A Theory is a 1-to-1 Mapping or Morphism between Numbers Perceived by the Senses and and other numbers described by Rules (Algorithms) often related to the Mind.

In Paths of Change this Mind<->Senses-Map is called the Analytic Game.

A Structure preserving mapping does not change the rules that are related with the Origin of the mapping (“Reality“).

The Secret of Alchemy

When thou hast made the Quadrangle Round, Then is all the Secret found”. George Ripley (d. d 1490).

George Ripley was a famous Alchemist.

In the statement he “gives away” the Secret of Alchemy:

History Repeats Itself:

History Repats itself all the time and the cycle is a Square, the Quaternio.

the Cycle is a Magic Square

The only thing you have to do is fill the Variable in the Beginning and turn the Wheel of Adventure where all the Four Points in the square are Opponents.

When you connect the points in the outside ring in rising order the Cycle of Saturn (Father Time) appears.

They share the same Number (5) in the Center making the square a Magic Square called the Lo Shu you can find on the back of a Turtle meaning the Constellation of of Orion.

Fragile

When a calimity happens a Fragile system is destroyed,

Resilient

a Resilient system returns to its old state

Anti Fragile

an Antifragile system returns to a “Better” state.

Structure Preserving

A Structure Preserving Map (SPM) preserves the Structure of de input of the mapping.

This means that the proces of design does not contain an implicit theory of the designer.

This happens often because it is very difficult to become independent from your Personality, your Education or the Social group you are part of.

Objective

The SP-design is “Objective“.

A SPM combines four steps that “Compensate” the influence of the other three.

Carl Jung Archetypes

The same applies to the four Archetypres of Carl Jung,

the four Scales of Measurement

and

Alan Fiske’s Relational Model

Alan Fiske, a cultural anthropologist, discovered four different Social structures that are together a SPM meaning that their combination is independent from the Culture they are part of.

Steps

This part contains the following steps:

1 Select the Context and Analyze the context

2 Select a Path of Change advice: Choose a Quaternion

3 Select a Starting Point you can start with a model (“specification”), a Process, a Social network (including a UID(“Universe of Discourse) or an Idea.

advice Start with an Idea watch out an idea is not an impulse.

It takes many years of search and reflection to find the proof of an idea.

It took Goethe many years to find the Uhrplant.

An idea is a concept that belongs to the Point of View of the Imagination (not Fantasy) also related to Spring in the Cycle of the Seasons.

4 If you want to start with this step you have to find and Search for Unique “Objects” in the context.

Objects can be organisms (including Humans) but also Physical objects (“Houses”).

In the example about a model of Sports it took many years to find out what types of games people play and how they play.

This lead to Names and rules (Instructions) how to play the game. Rules/constraints are often used to define a designbut a simple Hiërarchie also works.

5 Fuse the Unique Objects and Count them. With counting you assign Unique names to the objects.

Choose the Number-System you like. Look at the Trinity.

Fusing could be a Physical proces but it is often a Semantic Process including Instruction or making a Plan.

6 Find a criterium that determinates what > or < means and Order the objects. In the example of the games people reinvented a genral game called the Olympic Games and defned medals to order the players.

If you cannot find a criterium you are certainly operating on a abstraction level that is too high.

Change the Scale.

7 Transform the order into Stages or steps and you have created a production proces

8 Evaluate this result and start an Improve-project if necessary formulate this into an new Idea

9 go to step 3

Looking for Examples push here

Step 1: What is the Context?

What is the Context? This a link to a PDF written in Dutch.

When you start a design you have to decide What you want to Design.

‘this What is called a Context.

Five Ways to describe a Context

There are Five ways to describe a context.

Senses: Point of View and Scales

(1) Red: You can use the Senses (Eyes). In this case you have to define a Point-of-view and a Scale.

The higher you move the less detail you will see.

Naming Repeating Forms we See

(2) Yellow Imagination : In the context you can recognise Repeating forms you can point to and give a Name.

The names represent different Concepts.

Concepts are Nouns.

Verbs are Actions that connect Names

Nouns are verbs that are suddenly stopped.

Universe of Discourse

The set of concepts that represent a context is called a Universe of Discours (UID).

In this blog you hopefully will understand that humans are saying the same thing in many different ways by creating new concepts that are fused with other concepts creating new theories that are so complex that only Experts understand them.

The Higher the Scale the more Looks the Same

(3)Blue Models: A set of Concepts seen from a scale (much) higher than the Point of View is called a Map.

Networks

(4) Green: Houses shield Humans. A set of houses is called a neighbourhood. A Neighbourhood is an example of a Social Network.

Humans show their appreciation with their Emotions. When they are far from their “house” some of them become Homesick.

Center

(5) (White): the Cross of the lines in the middle of the six connections between the Points of View we call the Centre.

Production &- Consumption Cycle

In this picture you can see the actions that connect the Points of View with the point of view of a human in the Center.

A human in the center is described with the Fivefold model of InterPersonal Theory. There are four types of Social Networks (with a center) .

The four networks are connected with-and against the Clock by the Production and the Consumption cycle.

A Community of Practice expands in four different types of Companies.

A community of Interest is a Small World. They contain the people with Wisdom and Vision, Will McWhinney called Mythics.

A community of Affinity is a Family or a Clan. Political Parties are Clans.

A community of Knowledge could be a University when the Knowlegde was obtained by Experiment and Verification.

Example of a Context Map of a Network of companies.

The word Context is derived from the Latin word con-textere which means Weaving (Textere) together (Con).

A Context is Something that Surrounds Something Else, Puts Something on its Place or Relates Something to Something Else that has a stronger Foundation.

Other words that are part of the same Family are Frame of Reference, Setting, Environment, Background, Situation, Ambience, Circumstances, Fabric and Framework.

A context is a SpaceTime ( a Chronotope) with a Boundary. or a Frame being a Square that contains Points of View or a Square that contains Squares.

Standardized Questions

You can a ask standardised questions like Who, Where, When, Why and How to describe the context.or a Map.

Communication

There are two Metaphores connected to Human Communication called Conduit and Toolmaker

The first one is about exchanging. “words” (conduits) without exchanging meaning.

The second is about Collaborative Learning.

Small World or Universe of Discourse (UD)

Universe of Discours : The collection of objects being discussed in a specific discourse in the context.

There are Random and Regular dynamic networks of cooperating humans.

Small Worlds are a regular network with a small amount of paths linking the participants in the network.

Shared Goal

The reason could be a shared sSared Goal or Purpose.

Small Worlds are found by looking for people who are a successful Networker (or another Social Entity like a Company or a Network)called a Hub.

Same Playing Field

Is a concept about Fairness, each player has an equal Chance to Succeed, but that they all play by the Same set of Game Rules.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is sportengels.001-2-1024x576.jpeg

Game of Life

A model of Sport connected to the Virtues of Plato.

I tried to make a PoC model of the Sports to define a general sports advisor comparable to a Career advisor.

A Career is a Race with one Winner and many Losers

A Career is a race.

Interesting result was that I rediscovered the Virtues of Plato and the reason why the virtues where created,

to train people in the Game of Life.

The model is also applicable to the level of Society (Samen-leving in Dutch).

Interested in more? push here.

Step 2: What Type of Project Circular or Linear?

The Second Step is is the Choice between a Cycle (A->A)and or a LineInterval, A->B.

Resilience: B<-A->B

PoC advises you to choose a quaternion, a Four-fold cycle, for the reason that nothing will change because of the Third Force of the center Resilience that controls Expansion and Contraction.

The interesting point is that almost every way you chose is connected to a specific Theory of Change so you can also use your favourite approach.

Meta-Practice

That is why Will McWhinney called Paths of Change a Meta-Practise.

There are six possible Lines and many more possible cycles including a 2-step cycle and many ways to Rotate.

Step 3: Where do I Start?

You can start with an Observation, a Model, a Motive, an Idea, a Vision or an Insight.

An idea is not something that pops up.

It is often a result of many Connected Cycles taking a long time.

It took Wolfgang Goethe a long time before he found the Uhrplant and it took a lot longer before his ideas about Morphology became reality.

What is an Idea?

An Idea is a Pulse that comes out of the Action Potential of the Emotions triggered by an Insight or Epiphany (Eureka-effect).

An Idea is a “product of the Imagination, something we See when we look Inside (Insight).

According to Plato an Idea is an Essential part of Reality.

Fuse Ideas into a Perfect Model

Ideas become essential by collecting a lot of look-a-likes and Fuse them into the Perfect model.

A Fuse is difficult to Split

When a fuse produces the energy of the Light of Creation it is difficult to split just like matter and anti-matter.

They can be found by looking and confronting the observations of our Reality not with a Prejudice but with an already acquired Insight (Wisdom).

The Tension between In-Sight and Out-Sight can be found in an Inventor.

Invent:Looking for a Proof

Invent is the result of “Looking for Something” you already know it Exists.

Abstract concepts(Models) are not Ideas.

This can be checked by Imagining the Concept.

Abstract concepts have no image.

An Architect connects Vision and Model by making a Design (designare = draw).

Games

2-combinations of Worldviews are called Games.

Six Archetypes

Games are controlled by an Archetypal Role in our case the Architect but we can also play the game of Inventing starting with Perceiving or the game of the Visionary or the game of the Market of the Entrepreneur.

A 2-combination of worldviews is called a Game.

There are Six games and much more Paths of Change when we combine the games into a Cycle.

A Cycle can move with- and against the Clock.

Rotation Around a Point in the Middle

In the middle of the cross of the square we find the empty set because the worldviews are Opponents.

Plato

The world of Ideas is the World of the Universals

There are two “worlds” that are isolated. In the world of Ideas the Sun of theRatio shines and everything is Perfect. In this world all the particulars have just one Inversal. The universal of all of the ideas is the Good.We live in a Cave and see the shadows of the Ideas being the particulars.

Four States and a Center

In a Fourfold cycle there are four states to start with.

These states can be classified by the four Archetypes of Jung being the Classical Elements air, fire, earth, and water that can be replaced by the Four Seasons with the Earth in the center.

Four Seasons

In the picture below you can see a pattern that moves with the seasons and contains four “Games” and two “games” that Bridge (jump over) and two “games” that go against the flow.

Improve uses the Store created in Autumn that has a certain Value.

Make uses the Energy in summer to Expand.

Design moves against the Flow because Winter is an Authoritarian season or start a Revolution

Winter does not accept Opposition so

Accept or Revolt

or take a Shortcut and

Invent or Improve

Thats why you have to use a short-cut and use the path of Inventing or let your Idea value in a Brainstorm and Improve the context.

As you can see it is not difficult to Play with the model because it refers to our Reality.

  • Wood/Spring (Yellow) : a period of Growth, which generates abundant vitality, movement and wind.
  • Fire/Summer (Red) : a period of swelling, flowering, expanding with heat.
  • Metal/Autumn (?Green) : a period of harvesting, collecting and dryness.
  • Water/Winter (Blue) : a period of retreat, stillness, contracting and coolness.

Spring

Spring is the “Creative”Artistic” step in the Cycle.

Spring starts a proces of Growth, which generates abundant Vitality, Movement and Wind.

Seed

To do that we have to Abstract the Idea into a Seed.

Indian summer

This means that you have wait for the end of the autumn at the fifth season Indian summer and take the shortcut through the cross of the center.

Seeds are eaten or planted in the Winter or Spring, Grow in the Summer and are Harvested and Stored in the Autumn.

Abstraction -> Essence

Abstract means “drag away by force meaning “splitting” and taking something out, making it more Simple, Compress,

To take the bean out of the pod you sometimes have Break the whole to get it out.

If the idea is articulated in words, words are deleted if the idea is a picture connections are deleted, an “abstraction of a line is two points connected.

The ultimate abstraction is a Point and one Word (a State, for instance Darkness or Emptiness).

an Abstract is a summary )shorter, more Essential).

In the Beginning: Movement

The opposite proces of Expanding is complicated when the starting point does not contain a proces or the process was there before the Beginning (“Movement).

Deleting a point or the same word becomes adding a point or the same word.

Most people are not aware that many diffrent words have the same meaning.

Idea->Seed

Blue, Cold, Winter, Red, Hot, Summer, in Between Spring (Yellow), Autumn )Green).

The same Development Cycle but with different concepts.

Producer and Consumer are part of the Production and Consumption Cycle.

They are fed with the Energy of Creation (Idea) hat comes from Spirit.

The idea becomes a Seed in the Production Cycle.

The energy is Stored (Autumn, Green) in the Emotions (Action Potential)

Production and Consumption have to be Voided which means that their Sum is Zero.

A PoC-cycle based on the Business Cycle that uses the Chinese Sheng Cycle where the Cross in the middle (White) is part of the cycle creating a Pentangle in the Middle.

A Pentangle is a Fractal.

A fourfold cycle in which 2 stage of Contracton (Winter) is combined with two stages of Expansion (Summer).

Combining Expansion Compression Showing the four Patterns (Spirals) they produce.

Production/Consumption Cycle as an Expansion of the Human in the center

An ecology contains many layers of cycles.

A Context is also a potential Expanding or Compressing system where the parts are described by a pdifferent Point-of-view.

They can move in four diffrent direction or dependent on the Resilience of the whole that wants to stay the same.

Sep 4: Starting a Cycle

The first and most difficult Question we have to ask is:

What is Different or Unique in the Context we want to Explore?

Gilles de Leuze: What is Different?

The Creative Force cannot be resisted.

It becomes Stronger when it is resisted.

Difference is Pressed into Forms.

The Dialectic, of Hegel operates with Extreme Differences ( “Polarities”) alone.

Therefore Don’t use Opposites.

When a concept is already fused Split it again and reuse the Parts.

When we repeat something it has to be Essential for some reason. so

Find the repeating structures and detect the Essence or dig deeper.

sometimes cycles contain cycles and contain cycles becoming spirals or higher order torsion-fields

Higher order fields need higher dimension that are not of our world.

You can change dimensions by using different numbersystems mostly Complex like the Quaternions or the Octonions.

Unique identities can be combined with other unique entities.

Every new combination is different.

Movement -> Space Divided by Time

There is only one esential concept : Movement.

Northrop Frye: Archetypes and Fearfull Symmetry

Archetypes are Essential and Unique Patterns because they are Old.

Northrop Frye lwas one of the most influential literary theorist, of the 20th century.

He uses the “same” model Mikhail Bahktin uses.

What is a Design?

Step 2: Design: From Spring to Summer

Expanding

The Summer is a period of swelling, flowering, expanding with heat

Fuse the Differences

Find a way to fuse all the differences (ideas, seeds) into a Whole in the Context.

Ranking Hierarchy

Find a way to order the differences in the context.

Order

Define what > (expand) and (compress) < mean.

Design

In a Design we move from the Visual to the Semantic making use of Words (Blends) or Schema’s, a Pattern of thought or behavior that organizes categories of information and the relationships among them.

Permutations

When you observe the distinct unique objects the only thing yo can do is Count them using a unity, give a name to the numbers and put them in different orders (permutations).

Long Horn Medicine Wheel: Every Unique Stone has a unique Place (Angle) in the Circle and a unique Meaning.

Rhe Medicine wheel is the oldest cycle in history.

As you can see the Moebius Ring is, the model of Light is in the center.

The four corners are controlled by the animals with unique characteristics like the Eagle.

The four animals come back in many beliefsystems including Christianity.

Beauty of the Whole

When you observe them as a whole you could experience different types of emotions sometimes related to the concept of Beauty.

In this case I want to present the work of the recently died Christopher Alexander called the Nature of Order.

Assigning an Amount

When you have put all the different unique objects in the Chronotope it is possible to assign different quantative values (an amount) and give this amount a name to the object and create a ranking.

Nature of Order

From Summer to Autumn

a period of harvesting, collecting and dryness.

Transformation

From Autumn to Winter

period of retreat, stillness, contracting and coolness.

From Winter to Spring

Examples:

Using Play as the Essence of sport.

A few weeks ago I made a model of the Sports

I chose the name Spel (Play, Game) for the Unique Part of the Model

Will McWhinney called this “game”, the Game that creates Games, The Trickster or the Fool as Archetype.

James Carse called it the Infinite Game.

Summary

Introduction

Antifragility goes beyond Resilience

The resilient resists Shocks and stays the Same.

The antifragile gets Better.

In this blog I use the insights from my blogs about Anti-fragility and Panarchy to find out how to design to prevent that a new system returns to its old state..

An Ecology changes when the Unique entities Unite.

Unique humans are called Visionairs, Prophets, Guru’s Mystics, They See with their Inner Eye, the Imagination.

Fusion <-> Specialization

The Unbroken Sequence of Origins is a Cycle that starts at the beginning of the Universe and shows that Fusion and Specialization are the major factors.

We are approaching a new Fusion. This was already predicted 5000 years ago.

This step was called the Waterbearer. It ends the Age of the Fish, the time of good and bad (?Dualism).

Mikhael Bahktin predicted this Transformation too in his work he wrote in the Gulag Archipel of Stalin.

Theory

The Theory is splitted into Geometry (Shape) and Semantics (Symbols Alphabet).

Geometry:

Triangel, Trinity

In the geometry I explore the triangle and the many different geometries that can be made out of combining triangles.

Semantics

In the semantics I explore the same trinity now called a bisocation or a Conceptual blend.

A Suare is a combination of two Triangles and contains six lines.

Square-> Quadrangle: Quaternio

A Square is a combination of two Triangles

Carl Jung discovered that the old “mystical” theories are based on squares (quadrangle)he called a Quaternio.

Point of View

a Point-of-View is dependent on the Scale and the tpe of Space you live in.

In non-euclidian space everything is Curved.

Frame

In our Euclidian space we always look through a Rectangular Frame.

Preserving Structure

This new approach is based on Structure Preserving Maps that were found when the Anthropologist Alan Fiske discovered that the Types of Relationships he found worldwide in every culture were compatible with the Scales of Measurement.

Practice

Spring

Finding Uniqueness in the Chinese model of the Seasons the year we start in Springtime.

What is an Idea?

An idea is an insight, and an Emotion, omething that gives a Pulse to get into Action.

Summer

From Spring to Summer called Design is not Design but Inventing in Paths of Change.

Design moves against the flow because a Hierarchy is dominant over an idea or insight therefore you have to make an Anti-fragile Jump.

Paths of Change contains more “jumps” of 6 months.

Ranking: What does > mean in the context you want to explore?

A context is a Chronotope with a permeable Boundary.

We move to the Affine-Geometry, from the Interval scale to the Nominal sccale.

both are related to the Hierarchy being a rotated tree with the one at the top.

the One at the Top is Essential

The one is an essential concept so the top of a hierarchy has to be essential too.

Design

This step is often called a Design (a drawing).

How do you draw an idea?

If it is an insight it could be a result of an outsight.

In this case you have moved from the summer the time of looking to the autumn, the time of taking store to the winter the time of reflection coming out of hybernation in Spring.

Put the difference in a whole and count them.

give a name to the numbers and a assign an amount to the unique differences.

Order (Sort) the amounts.

Beauty

Unique objects can be permutated where a certain permutation could give the emotion of Beauty.

In this case you have found the Nature of Order of the recently died Meta-architect Christopher Alexander.

Transform from Levels to States.

(5) Step 3 Transformfrom Ranking Order to measuring a Distance needing a uniform measuring sStick like Hours or Money.

Part 4: Conclusion

This blog started as a course in a new type of design based on many earlier blogs.

I called it Anti-fragile Design.

When I started to explain the essence of the long sequence of blogs I discovered that Resilience is the main reason that new designs fail.

They fail for the simple reason that the “old” always comes back.

This is also the Quintessence of Alchemy.

The concept Antifragility was invented to beat Resilience and Resilience is the foundation of Panarchy, a theory about Ecologies.

Ecologies make a jump to a “Higher” level with a different Rythm but the Meta-pattern behind the jumps is not changed.

The universe is repeating its repeatings all the time.

Perhaps they are all te same and we Name them differently.

The same is proved by the theory of Peter Rowlands that shows that the Meta-pattern is a Quaternion or even an Octionion.

The “bad” thing of both number-systems is that they are noncommutative and nonassociative meaning that the result of an algorithm is dependent on the order it is applied: ab is not equal to ba.

Every Path of Change has another result dependent on the path that is taken.

This makes our universe highly Unpredictable and Context-Dependent.

It is a Wheel of Fortune.

Higher Order Number Systems

When you introduce new types of Constraints new theories appear.

Space/Time is Not Stable it Emerges

Adlers Trace-Time

In Adler’s Trace-Time certain constraints are always fulfilled.

The Wandering Universe

Quantum theory and space-time are emergent phenomena.

Nothing is local, neither in space, nor in time.

Locality and separability are approximations of our present-day universe.

Spontaneous collapse is omnipotent and at play, making the universe look like it does.

However, appearances can be deceptive.

Deep down, if we look very carefully, everything is everywhere all the time, in a manner of speaking.

Wandering is a property of the approximate universe.

It is an illusion.
